THE SCAT 3.5 Nm - Torque Limited

We offer both torque and non-torque limiting versions of the Solar Connector Assembly Tool.  The overall mechanics of both tools is the same, deciding which one to use depends on the objective. 

The SCAT 3.5 is a torque limiting tool which is designed to ensure every connection is assembled to spec, reducing connector-related field issues by delivering precise, repeatable torque and consistent alignment every time. It helps prevent cross-threading, over-torque damage, and the inconsistent electrical contacts that can lead to troubleshooting later. 

The best feature of the SCAT 3.5 is the fact that it replaces the use of other torque tools available on the market designed for this job, which are bulky, expensive, and frustrating to use.

• Compatible with both MC4 ®  and Amphenol ® H4 connections. 
• Designed for setting proper torque specifications for solar connectors. 
• Preset Torque: 3.5 Nm (31 in-lbs) compatible with PV connectors up to 1,500 VDC
• Accuracy: +- 4% verified (industry standard is +-6%)
• Certified: Tested and verified by an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory with NIST-traceable calibration (Note: A certificate for your specific SCAT can be provided upon upon request, for an additional cost)
• Calibration: ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL X540-1, Exceeds ISO 6789-1
